1914 Keuffel & Esser

Not a prime collectable but I would like to know an estimate of value.

First, two issues:

1. Level vial is damaged.  Tube is dry

2. Box lid is damaged.  Hinged rim pieces are there but the top piece of wood is missing.

Some good things about this item:

Focusing knob turns smoothly.

Azimuth tangent and clamp screws turn.

Four leveling screws all turn

Metal of telescope and bubble tube show some wear and tear but cannot say how much; one of the few things I know about antiques is that I am not qualified to clean them.

All of the screws and knobs seem original and none have scratch marks indicating DIY attempts at repair or adjustment.

Triangular base plate shows some wear.

Plumb bob has corrosion at tip.

Sun shade is in good condition.

When I acquired this K&E, in the box were two apparently unassociated screws with knobs.

Level bubble glass is damaged. Tube is dry.

Box lid is missing top piece of wood.

Serial number 30205.
